New Technology: Turn Anything into aTouchScreen

The science and technology is emerging so fast that one can’t imagine what will be the next. The thing that will happen will be beyond imagination. Four or five years back, thinking of touchscreen phones was a dream like. Now we can see this technology in almost every new gadget. Using the gadgets, having this technology is easy and handy to use.

If you want the accessibility to turn everything you are wearing  into the touchscreen, then Microsoft has solved your problem. Now, you can have your smartphone in your pocket and can operate it by turning the things around you in to live touchscreens.

The OMNITOUCH combines a pico projector ( to project the image) and a Kinect-like depth identifying camera to generate a device that can be mounted on the shoulder and can project a multitouch interface even on the table, your body, wall and even your hands. The device has the option that the users can define the dimensions of their touch interface. The device also can automatically choose the best conditions for your display.

Previously, a technology was developed  that could only work on skin. This was the limitation of that previous technology. You could not turn your desk or other thing whom you interact in to multi-touch screens. By the use of latest technology in this field you can turn everything in your surrounding into touchscreens.

Chris Harrison was the man who worked on the project. He called it a “Mega Kinect Hack.” This technology is recently developed for your phones. The research team has developed a trial product with a lattice of touch sensors that has the ability to detect your finger strokes through cloth and generated a typical unlock gesture that reorient the screen, every time you use the device. It prevents the necessity to flip your phone upside down before using it.

The scientists and researchers have found that the screen delicate enough to use the prevailing Microsoft touch recognition software. This enables the device to send a text by drawing characters one by one. It also enables you to control your music playlist with a few hits of your thigh.

Advancements are being made in this field of technology. Hopefully, the scientists will give us a pleasant surprise by developing new and marvel things in this field.
